RUSH is a children's Club for primary school children (4 to 11).  It runs during term time and meets once a week for an hour from 6-30pm on a Wednesday in St Catherine's Church Hall.

Games are played, dramas based on Bible stories enacted, and craft sessions organised, all of which are fun.

Rush

The group’s mission is to bring God’s word to the children in a way that they will understand with fun and humour. Scripture Union resources and National Curriculum information are used in planning for each session.

Rush is run by a team of Sunday school teachers from both St Mary’s and St Catherine’s, and congregation members. It is funded by donations from various church organisations and individuals and the children pay 50p per visit.

No demands on the children are made to attend church, but they are given an open invitation to be present at any service or Sunday School session, and they can freely ask questions at anytime    during the evening to find out what happens at church or Sunday School. Through RUSH new Sunday School members have been gained over the last two years. The register includes 45 names but on average 20 attend each week.
