The Ladies Working Party is a very important part of St Mary’s Church and is held every Tuesday throughout the year with the exception of special days and holidays.

It is made up of a group of ladies, and anyone who wishes to come along. Meetings commence with prayers and a reading from scripture. This is followed by any outstanding business.

Everyone is given the opportunity to talk about an item which has to be agreed before it is accepted. It is a friendly and caring group.

The upkeep of St Mary’s Church Hall is the sole responsibility of the working group and its contributions pay for repairs and maintenance.

The hall is also used for a variety of purposes both for the church and the local community. Any letting fees paid by non-church organisations also help to pay for its upkeep.
